27 weeks

Leah hugged me for the first time this week.  She was sitting on the living room floor playing with her toys, and I wasn't feeling very well so I laid my head on her boppy.  She twisted her little body around and put one arm on my back and the other on my shoulder and laid her little head on me!  She kept doing it!  It was the most precious thing I have ever seen!!

She has been getting to be quite the cozy little thing lately.  The other day I was in the process of doing her bedtime routine when she laid her head on my chest while watching babyfirst tv.  I called Dave and and yelled, 'oh no! She's sick again! She's laying her head down on me!'  Dave laughed and said, 'no, she is just being cozy with her mama!'  Ever since she does this at bedtime, cuddles and picks while watching her shushybye show.

Sleeping is pretty much back to normal.  She is going to bed anywhere from 7-8 and is sleeping pretty much through with one possible feed around 3 or 4 in the morning and then will go back down for a few more hours until about 6/6:30.  She is getting around 10 hours at night and 1-2 hours during the day.  'They' say she should get around 12 to 12.5 hours sleep a day and I'd say she's getting it.

She will wake up at night if she is too hot or too cold.  We have found that her 'happy' temperature is 70.  She will cry at 66 and last night, cry at 72.  She sure knows what she likes!:) It is just getting hard to keep it consistent for her.

The little stinker is pushing up onto her knees this week!  She will get up, and then rock back and forth and squeal when we clap for her!  She'll look for you and keep doing it until you praise her.  It is hilarious!  She then worms backwards and can move backwards quite far! A few feet at least!  She gets pretty angry because she wants to go forward and ends up going backwards.  It is so funny how angry she gets!
