21 weeks

Been alittle behind on updating the blog!  Leah has grown the most during her 4th month! We have seen so many changes in her the past few weeks!

At 19 weeks, we started the little piggy on cereal.  She was eating two 8 oz bottles in the early evening and started waking up during the night for a feed again.  She was a hungry hungry hippo!  We thought she was ready.  She was such a champ!  The first time I tried it was in the basement and used my finger as a spoon.  She nibbled, but wasn't scarfing it down.  The next morning, I tried again for breakfast and she ate the entire bowl!  She loved it!  She's been eating it every day twice a day and can't get enough!

She is interacting with us so much!  One day, I pretended to eat her little hand.  She smiled so big and then a moment later, she started reaching her little mitt towards my mouth!  I ate it and she smiled again and then reached for my mouth again!  She did this over and over!  This was the first time we 'truly' interacted with eachother.:)

Baby girl laughs!  At 19 weeks, I was kissing her little face while she was laying on the best and every time I would lean in, the little stinker would LAUGH!  I was so happy because I was able to get it on camera!  Over the next two weeks, she's been cracking herself up!  It happens at the strangest moments, she'll find something like a cup or remote hilarious!:o)  I just love listening to my gigglie girl!

Around 20 weeks, the little bugger is so nosy:)  If I am holding her and grabbing something or doing something, or she hears something, she will quickly jerk toward the noise and contort her little body into the strangest positions so that she can see exactly what's going on.  She has these serious stares and you can tell she is really trying to figure out what is going on.  The cute thing is is that if you kiss she chubby little cheek at that very moment, she'll smile.  If she turns her head toward me and our eyes meet, she'll smile.

Last night, at 21 weeks, Leah woke from her nap still alittle droggy.  I held her and walked into the kitchen to finish up pureeing the sweet potatoes that I was making for her.  She shrunk down on my chest and laid her head down on me-- I melted!  I went to look in the mirror to see if her little eyes were open and they were-- it was the sweetest thing ever!  I cried.  My little girl has never laid her head on me before!

She touched Andre for the first time.  She tickled under his chin and then poked the side of his snout.  She was soo gentle.  It was the sweetest thing ever.  Sometime when Bella will get really close to her face, she lights up and smiles so big!

The sweet potatoes were a hit!  This was the first time she has ever had veggies!  I froze them in an ice cube tray and will pop them out into a freezer bag so she can have them for dinner the next two weeks.  Leah loves her food!

I am so blessed to have such a happy, content child.  She sleeps through the night-- 12 hours last saturday with no wake up feeds:), she eats her food happily, she loves to cuddle, she loves her playtime, she is a happy, loving baby and most of all, she is healthy!  I have been blessed beyond comprehension.
