18 weeks

On Tuesday, Leah had her four month check up.  She weighed 12 pounds, 3 oz (25%), 25 inches long (75%) and I forget her head circum. but it was the 50%.  She was a doll baby, but boy, she didn't like the dr messing with her!  Her sweet little face became beet red, watery eyed, and screeching as the dr touched her little body.  She kept turning her little head as her eyes searched for her parents-- it broke my heart!  I held her little hand and caressed her little face, but alas, angry baby.  As soon as he was done, she settled in my arms and was smiling within seconds.  Silly baby.  Clean bill of health.  This is such a blessing.

Everything about her is a blessing.  She brings me so much joy and happiness.  Such a smart, curious, sweet, loving little thing.  I love her smell--- I could smell her little body for hours.  Stick my nose in the fold of her neck and smell her adorable little smell for all eternity!  She is getting many little fat rolls-- chin, thighs- so cute!  Her little feet even stink-- I love her stinky feet!  She absolutely loves taking baths-- she scoots and dips her little hands and feet in the water.  We sing 'this is the way we wash our face...' and she laughs and coos and smiles.  Leah talks all day long.  She has quite the long conversations!  It is so cute to see her-- sometimes she gets a real serious look on her face as she talks- as if it is really important what she is trying to say!:)  She's getting to be alittle bit demanding.  She'll squeal if she doesn't see your face and wants immediate attention.  That stinker.  We've been letting her play-it-out while in the packnplay so that she can hopefully entertain herself and fall asleep on her own.  She hasn't fallen asleep yet, but hopefully this will happen soon.  'Wheels on the bus' is still her favorite activity that we do with her.  She silent laughs as we do the horn on the bus and beep her little nose.  Zoe enjoys doing this with her too.  She is so in love with Zoe!  Zoe can always make her smile.

On Wednesday, Zoe fell on the ice, and I was able to cuddle both Leah and Zoe.  Leah really liked being face to face with Zoe on Mama.  It was so precious seeing them look at each other while in my arms.  I love my family!

Leah is now rolling not only from her belly to her back, but from her back to her belly.  She is not too fond of being on her belly and will then almost immediately, roll over to her back again.  She is so funny.  While on her belly, she is starting to reach for objects infront of her!  If I put my hands against her feet, she will push and scoot herself closer to the toy.  Just this week she started playing with her feet.  She lies on her back and pulls her little feet up, rolls to her side and pulls on her tootsie.  She smiles and coos as she's doing it and it you make eye contact with her as she's doing it-- she'll squeal!  She is growing by leaps and bounds.  Such a sweet, smart little girl.
