22 weeks, 5 days

It has been quite a tumultuous few days.

On Saturday morning, I was having pretty intense cramps after weeding the front beds.  A few hours later, I was spotting.  I was extremely upset.

Dave was super sweet though, he even went to a community garage sale after dropping Zoe off at gymnastics and bought a ton of baby clothes!

I still cramped into that evening and it continued into Sunday morning.  I did feel baby kicking though, which was wonderful!  I started spotting again, so I called the on-call dr just to see what I should do.  She wanted me to go in to Toledo Hospital and she set everything up for me so I could just walk right in.  They checked to see if I was contracting- and praise God, I wasn't since the dr thought I might be having pre-term labor.  Then they did a urine sample and vaginal samples to test for infection.  All came back negative.  Baby's heartbeat was strong and baby was moving.  Such a blessing! They did not know why I was bleeding and cramping.  The dr wanted me to schedule a cervical ultrasound on Monday to see if it is the proper size.

On Monday, I was able to get in at 2:30.  I was still cramping and spotting, but the ultrasound tech said everything looked great and healthy.  The cervix was normal as well as the placenta.  That evening, I was spotting pretty heavily and the cramps were very intense-- more than before.  Thankfully baby is fine and healthy and I am feeling all the kicks; I am just a little frustrated as to the drs not knowing why this is happening.

Baby looked soo cute in the ultrasound pics.:)  The tech commented on its cute nose and it kept moving its mits around and over its face.:)

I am scheduled to have a full ultrasound on Thursday at 3:00.  Dave is going to go with me and they will check all of its organs and give us even more adorable pics of our baby.  I love being able to see our little person!  Jellybean really does look like a little baby now!  Almost a pound and a foot long!:o)
