February 11, 2010 - 4 weeks

Today is a blessing from God! He has given us the best gift in our entire existence! He gave us a baby! Yippeee!

On Tuesday, we were let off work due to the blizzard that was going on outside and I stopped to get two pregnancy tests on the way home ( I picked up taco bell too! ) I took the test, and I thought it was negative, but alittle later, the faintest line appeared, but it said not to trust after 10 minutes. Tuesday was three days after my missed period, so I thought it might still be too early - I'd wait to take the second test on Friday, the 12th.

I was too impatient, so I took the test this morning, 5 days after my missed period. I took the test, as I waited, Dave checked and saw a faint pink line in the test section -- was it positive???? We kept checking though it did get darker, it never became 'bold'. We didn't want to get our hopes up, so since we were going to see Dr. Goyal at 9:00am for a check up, we would ask for a definitive blood test. Dr. Goyal said she would run the bloodwork 'stat' so I could get the results today-- a blessing!

Dave called me when I got back to work to see if the dr had called with the results. It was so adorable. At around 3:00pm, Dave called again:o) and said I should call before 4 to see if the results are in. Around 3:30, I called. It took awhile for the nurse to find my results, but when she did, she said, 'It's positive!' I've never been so happy in my entire life! I yelled, 'Yeaaahhhh!' I couldn't believe we were pregnant so soon after trying-- we only started trying in later January. This is truly a miracle from God! I couldn't call Dave fast enough- but Kevin was in my office and I couldn't call him immediately! As soon as he left, I called Dave- I told him 'We're having a baby!' He said, 'Seriously??!?!!?!?!' :o) He was just as excited as I was! As we were talking, I got another call-- it was Dr. Goyal's nurse- excited to tell me 'You're Pregnant!!!!!'. It was cute:)

more to come:)
