14 weeks, 1 day

I had a doctors appointment this morning at 8:15am.  Dave had to work from 7a-7p, so he was unable to go, but it worked out so he could spend the evening with Zoe while I was away for the weekend at PAC Woman's Retreat at Buehla Beach in Vermillion, Ohio.  The appointment went really well.  The nurse heard the heartbeat in about 2 seconds!  It was such a relief and a blessing!  She took my weight (166) and blood pressure.  My bp was even higher than last time, so my doctor is going to continue monitoring it.

The dr gave me medicine for my migranes (tylenol with codeine), told me to start taking calcium supplements, and gave me slips for ample blood work.  24 hr urine and glucose to do in a week and a whole slew of testing to be done in four weeks.  She also told me that after 20 weeks, she wants to do an ultrasound at every visit to monitor baby's growth.

I told my boss that I was pregnant this morning after my appointment (even though I think he already knew).  I pretty much had to because a guy at work kept staring at my stomach and told everyone he thinks I'm pregnant, so I knew I had to get to my boss first!:o)  My boss was extremely happy for me and was so supportive and reassuring regarding time off and even time donations so I can ensure a 12 week leave (which was the best news I had heard all day!!!)
